Street and Wells

Street and Wells

Sitting in the Polden Hills, with its views of Glastonbury Tor and the Mendip Hills. Street is perfectly situated to explore the surrounding countryside whilst enjoying all of the sites and facilities that the village has to offer. Street is the birthplace of Clarkes shoes, whose story began almost 200 years ago, when brothers, Cyrus and James Clark, started making slippers from sheepskin off cuts.

Wells may, perhaps be best known for its famous Cathedral and is a reason why it is a City in the first place. No doubt this is what attracts many tourists. But England’s smallest City has much more to offer than the beautiful building that is the Cathedral.
